Business Verification

Confirm a company exists, and find out who owns and runs it.

Business Verification answers two questions: is this a real, registered company, and who are the people behind it? A registry lookup proves the company exists. It does not prove the person applying controls it, which is why a full business application also collects documents, verifies the applicant, and follows directors and owners.

Watch: KYB explained

You will see what a registry check does and does not prove, and how directors and beneficial owners are followed, including an owner that is itself a company. The written guides below cover the same ground in full.

Checking one company without an application

To look up a company from your back office, with no customer present, use a one-off business check. It needs a secret key and returns the registry record.
